The Department of Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology was established in 1988 under the name of “Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine”. It was renamed as “Faculty of Physical Therapy” in 1992 and merged with Institute of Rehabilitation Science andTechnology into the “Department of Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology” in 2007.
Abiding by its fundamental missions, the department offers courses and research programs leading to the bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees.All applicants must have a senior high school or equivalent graduation certificateobtained from the schools recognized by the Ministry of Education, R.O.C. In addition,academic achievement of the potential candidates must also fulfill the regulationsfor foreign student admission set by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
